Great food! I'm very picky when it comes to Mexican food. It can be hard to find really good authentic Mexican food, but DV's meets the mark. This restaurant opened not too long and replaced another Mexican restaurant that wasn't good. The new restaurant owner Victor and his family work at the restaurant and have turned into a great place to eat. They own another restaurant down the road (La Parilla), which is also great so no surprise this one is also delicious. I also like coming here because, their customer service is top notch. If you ever have an issue they are quick to fix it, as excellent customer service is a top priority.
My husband and I eat here regularly. We drive all the way from Camarillo, because we like it that much. The staff is so friendly and welcoming. You are treated like friends here. They also have a very wide selection of items on their menu. So you never run out of new things to try. Some of my favorites are the mixed seafood cocktail, ceviche de pescado, tortilla soup, and my husband loves the huevos rancheros. They also have happy hour daily, give very generous portions, and I love their salsa. It's not too spicy, it's just right. They also make a good michelada! You will leave full here and the prices are reasonable. Can't beat that! -

Delicious food, and kind , prompt service..
This place is run by a local family, and they treat you like a member..
The place is clean, and well cared for, despite being in an older building.. Enchiladas verde were really delicious! -

Just fyi, DV's is a location under new ownership (the wonderful folks at La Parrilla on Ashwood) and is SOOOO much better than it once was!!
The menu is a little different than La Parrilla's, but still more of an Acapulco/South American style than your usual Mexican menu.
The service is very good (like La Parrilla's) and the pricing is reasonable.
I have had enchiladas and tamales here as well as the Tri-Tip/Chicken plate, and all of them were very good. The Tri-Tip in particular had an EXCELLENT flavor.
Give them a try, the old ownership is gone!! -

We tried DVs tonight for first time. Tuesday night was very slow. We were the only customers at the time. We were greeted by the lovely cheerful hostess and seated in a comfortable booth. Their menu was large and filled with many traditional Mexican choices. My husband ordered DVS enchiladas and was not disappointed. They were delicious. I ordered the Carne Assad and enjoyed every bite. It was tender and flavorful. My litmus test for all Mexican restaurants are the refried beans. These were also delicious, along with a not too spicy but in the ballpark, salsa. Chips were made in the house and were my least favorite thing at the table. We ordered draft beer and it was served ice cold in frosty mugs.
All in all we will definitely eat at DVs Mexican grill again. -

I have been itching to try this new spot for a while now. Upon entrance we were immediately greeted by our server and then sat immediately at one of the hand-carved booths. The chips and salsa were the freshest and most delicious "chip"and salsa I ever did have. Too bad I could only oddly nibble since I recently got my wisdom teeth taken out. Due to my chipmunk status I chose to order the verde chicken enchilada. The verde was super authentic and immensely flavorful. I wolfed down this plate from the Acapulco gods so fast and not just because this was my first solid meals in days. My family promptly devoured their food as well. My dude got the combo with a chile relleno and tamale. He said it may be the best he has ever had. My kiddo followed my lead with the verde status and ordered the chile verde plate and was equally satisfied. The meal was so good that we even went back 12 hours later for breakfast burritos. A little too greasy for me personally but I'm excited to try their Huevos Racheros. I'm dumbfounded as to why this place isn't crowded it's fantastic food and service . Oh and So Yelp kept asking me if "DV's is good for happy hour. "
This was even before I even went there. So I can now confirm that this would be a delicious HH place. They have the Modelos, Pacifico and some other beers on draft. All the wines and even a wine margarita. Go check this spot out . Great little family spot for sure .
